Nation celebrates 10,832 Covid-19 recoveries today

MALAYSIA reported 10,832 Covid-19 recoveries against 7,950 cases as of noon today, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The nation has been consistently reporting more coronavirus recoveries than infections for 27 consecutive days.

To date, 2,227,889 individuals have recovered from Covid-19 in the country.

Noor Hisham said there are 725 patients in intensive care units, of which 710 are Covid-19 cases, and 15 are suspected or probable cases under investigation.

He said 380 patients require respiratory support, of which 76 are suspected or probable cases under investigation.

Of the 7,950 cases today, 7,817 fall under Categories 1 and 2 (asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic), while 133 fall under Categories 3, 4 and 5.

Malaysia also reported 13 new Covid-19 clusters today, of which six involved workplaces; three involved the community; two involved learning institutions; one involved a detention centre; and, one involved a high-risk group.

The country now has 762 active clusters, including the new ones today. – October 13, 2021.
