MALAYSIA logged 9,380 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, director general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
Yesterday’s figure was 8,817 cases.
The latest statistics bring the cumulative number of infections to 2,303,837.
Four states today recorded four-figure new cases – Sarawak (1,503 cases), Selangor (1,116), Kelantan (1,170) and Johor (1,105).
Other states reporting new infections today are Sabah (790), Kuala Lumpur (214), Kedah (556), Penang (623), Negri Sembilan (191), Perak (629), Malacca (200), Pahang (511), Terengganu (704), Putrajaya (18), Perlis (42) and Labuan (8).
The latest vaccination statistics show that Malaysia has fully vaccinated 20.82 million individuals or 63.8% of the general population against Covid-19.
As for the adult population, 88.4% have received their full course while 94.5% have had one dose. Among the general population, 73.8% have received at least one vaccine shot. – October 6, 2021.
