MALAYSIANS can now report Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) violations via the MySejahtera application.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin in a tweet yesterday said a feature to report such violations already exists.
However, he added that he has asked the developer to tweak it.
“I have asked MySejahtera to update slightly, but the feature is there,” he tweeted, sharing a short clip on the reporting process.
His response comes after a user with the handle @omarfaayiz asked whether there is any platform to report SOP violations.
In the clip, a “complaints” button is shown in the app, which, when tapped, will direct users to a page where they can select the type of violation they wish to report.
There are four types of violations listed, namely not wearing a face mask or practising physical distancing; failure to record visitors or check their body temperatures; violation of quarantine orders; and, other issues.
Users will then be required to tag the location where the alleged violation took place before moving on to the final step, uploading a photograph as proof.
Replying to Khairy’s tweet, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah asked the public to make full use of the feature and lodge a report if they see anyone violating SOPs. – October 3, 2021.
