Police still waiting for DNA results from chair that killed boy

THE police are still waiting for a report on DNA samples taken from the chair which was flung from a public housing unit and killed a teenaged boy in the process.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa said they would compare the result of DNA samples from the chair with the DNA samples collected.

“We have summoned 43 people to assist the investigation and expect to wrap it up soon,” he told reporters after a meeting between the inspector-general of police and state and district CID chiefs and the launch of the criminal Investigation handbook in Kuala Lumpur today.

Rusdi said they had conducted an initial investigation and a voice stress analysis (VSA) on five of the shortlisted individuals but the results were negative.

He urged the public to inform the police if they come across suspicious characters to assist the investigation.
