13,104 new Covid-19 cases, lowest since July 22

MALAYSIA reported 13,104 new Covid-19 cases today, the lowest since July 22, director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
 
The country reported 13,034 cases on July 22.
 
The cumulative Covid-19 caseload stood at 2,198,235 as at September 26, after the new cases were accounted for in the national tally.
 
Sarawak continued to report the highest number of cases with 2,943 infections, followed by Selangor with 1,558.
 
The states which also reported over a thousand cases were Sabah (1,078), Johor (1,455) and Kelantan (1,206).
 
States and federal territories which saw new cases include Kuala Lumpur (270), Kedah (721), Penang (955), Perak (994), Negri Sembilan (165),  Pahang (604), Malacca (362), Terengganu (685), Perlis (80), Putrajaya (24) and Labuan(4).
 
On a related note, 19.48 million or 83.1% of the adult population and 59.7% of the general population have been fully vaccinated.
 
Meanwhile, 22.71 million people have received at least one shot of the double-dose vaccine. This is equivalent to 93.7% of the adult population and 69.6 % of the general population. – September 26, 2021.
