THERE have been 14,554 new infections reported in the past 24 hours, director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

Sarawak reported the most infections (2,825) by state, followed by Selangor (2,244).

Meanwhile, there were 1,273 fresh cases in Sabah, 1,807 in Johor, 271 in Kuala Lumpur, 908 in Kedah, 1,231 in Penang, 910 in Kelantan, 1,144 in Perak, 157 in Negri Sembilan, 598 in Pahang, 401 in Malacca, 690 in Terengganu, 30 in Putrajaya, and 65 in Perlis.

Labuan reported no new cases today.

This brings the cumulative total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Malaysia as of noon today to 2,171,232.

Yesterday, new infections dipped to 13,754, which was the lowest reported since July 22, when 13,034 cases were recorded. – September 24, 2021.
