NEGRI Sembilan, Pahang and Johor will transition to various phases of the national recovery plan effective Friday, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.

He said that Negri Sembilan will move from phase 3 to 4, Pahang from phase 2 to 3 and Johor from phase 1 to 2.

He said that the decision was made at the special committee meeting on pandemic management today to allow the transition of the states.

Ismail said the transition of the three states was in accordance with the guidelines set.

This, he said, was by taking into account hospital admissions for symptomatic cases, the use of intensive care unit beds and the percentage of completed vaccinations.

He added that the decision was also made based on the current risk assessment done by the Health Ministry and National Security Council (NSC).

The standard operating procedure (SOP) for states entering Phases 2, 3 and 4 remain the same.

The latest SOP information will be updated by NSC on its site
