18,815 new Covid-19 cases

With 18,815 Covid-19 infections recorded today, the national caseload has now reached 2,049,750. – The Malaysian Insight pic, September 16, 2021.

MALAYSIA today logged 18,815 fresh Covid-19 infections, taking the national caseload to 2,049,750, director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
 
According to Health Ministry statistics, Sarawak recorded the highest number of cases in the last 24 hours with 3,660 infections. 
 
Selangor was next, recording 2,718 cases, while Johor reported 2,206 cases.

Other states that reported new cases today are Sabah (1,982) Kuala Lumpur (493), Kedah (1,233), Negri Sembilan (170), Penang (1,777), Kelantan (1,222), Perak (1,446), Malacca (269), Pahang (712), Terengganu (814), Putrajaya (22) and Perlis (80).
