THE MySejahtera team has been given a week to resolve all application-related problems, including issues of issuing digital vaccination certificates, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today.

“I have ordered the MySejahtera team to resolve all problems related to the app immediately including the problem on the issuance of digital certificates which has been a cause of concern for those who have been vaccinated but have yet to receive their cert,” Khairy said in the ministry’s weekly press conference today.

“I have given them a week to resolve all this so that people can be given their digital certificates.”

In the meantime, people who have been vaccinated but have yet to be issued the certificate on the app can use their physical cards as proof.

People vaccinated as part of the Selangor government’s Selvax programme can use their Selangkah app certificates for the time being.

Complaints have emerged on social media where people who have completed their vaccination have yet to receive their digital certificates.

DAP lawmakers also urged the Ministry of Health to immediately fix weaknesses in MySejahtera and the app’s helpdesk as many users are frustrated by the lack of response and delayed updates on their vaccination status.

In terms of recognising overseas certificates, he said the MySejahtera team had been instructed to set up a virtual verification process.

“It is too cumbersome, too much from them to come, go to the district health office show their vaccination card from the UK or from Singapore and then only the process will start for them to get the digital certificate,” he said, adding that the MySejahtera team have been asked to simplify the process, so that it can be done online.

He added that the ministry will also ensure that quality control is there and no bogus certificates are issued. – September 9, 2021.
