5,911 new Covid-19 cases among fully inoculated people

Malaysia records 17,352 new Covid-19 infections today. Of which, 5,911 cases are fully-vaccinated individuals, whereas 11,441 patients are partially vaccinated and unvaccinated. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 6, 2021.

THE Health Ministry recorded 5,911 new Covid-19 infections among the fully vaccinated today, a dip from yesterday’s 6,887, director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
 
Meanwhile, 11,441 of the 17,352 new Covid-19 cases recorded today are patients who are unvaccinated (7,646 cases) and partially vaccinated (3,795 cases). 

Of the 268 Covid-19 patients in categories three (pneumonia), four (pneumonia and requires oxygen support) and five (critical stage), 118 patients are unvaccinated, 73 have not completed their vaccination, and 77 patients are fully vaccinated.

On the other hand, of the 17,084 cases involving patients in categories one (asymptomatic) and two (mild symptoms), 7,528 are unvaccinated, 3,722 are partially vaccinated, and 5,834 are fully vaccinated.
 
Health authorities administered 289,958 doses of Covid-19 vaccines yesterday, raising the number of individuals who have completed their vaccination to 15,926,601 people, or 68% of the adult population.
 
The special committee for Covid-19 vaccine access said 136,177 people received their first dose yesterday, while 153,841 received their second dose.
 
To date, 20,543,016 people, or 87.8% of the adult population in Malaysia, have received their first Covid-19 shot. – September 6, 2021.
