56 fully vaccinated patients in ICU, says health DG

Fifty-six out of the 24,599 fresh Covid-19 cases reported today are individuals who have been fully vaccinated. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 26, 2021.

THE number of fully vaccinated individuals admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) increased to 56 today from 38 yesterday, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The director-general of health said of the number, 36 were in category 5 (critical condition and in need of ventilator support) and the remaining 20 were in category 4 (patients having pneumonia and requiring oxygen).
