THE administration of Covid-19 vaccine doses continued to rise with 423,380 individuals being vaccinated yesterday, increasing from the 420,164 doses given the day before.
The Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply said that to date, 80.3% (18,792,979) of the adult population have gotten their first dose while 59.1% (13,842,928) have received their second jab.
The committee said that yesterday, 161,386 people got their first dose while 261,994 others got their second jab.
In total, 32,635,907 million doses of vaccine have been administered since the programme began on February 24.
Labuan, the only federal territory that has moved to phase 4 of the national recovery plan, has the highest rate of full vaccination at 92.8% of the adult population or 63,575 people.
The Klang Valley has seen the highest number of doses dispensed with 6.77 million people getting their first shots and 5.35 million others receiving their second jabs.
Meanwhile, Sabah, which has been seeing a surge in Covid-19 cases recently, has the lowest vaccination rate where only 33.8% of the adult population are fully vaccinated, while 54.5% have received their first dosage.
Meanwhile, restrictions have been eased for fully vaccinated people in phase 1 states to dine in and participate in some social activities.
People in states in phase 2 and above of the national recovery plan may also travel inter-district and take local tours. β August 26, 2021.
