Return to the right path, Najib's son tells Dr Mahathir

PRIME Minister Najib Razak’s son, Nazifuddin Najib, tonight appealed to his father’s nemesis, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, to remember second prime minister Abdul Razak Hussein’s legacy and return to Umno.

Nazifuddin, who is Razak’s grandson, said if Dr Mahathir appreciated Razak’s legacy, he would protect Najib just as Najib had defended Dr Mahathir during Umno’s crisis in 1987, which led to the party being declared illegal.

Strengthen Najib as how he stood by Dr Mahathir in the political crisis of 1998, when ‘reformasi’ began,” Nazifuddin said on his social media accounts.

His father was once Dr Mahathir’s protege, but has now become the target of the former prime minister and the opposition coalition he leads, Pakatan Harapan, in the 14th general election, which must be held by August.

If Dr Mahathir really loves Razak, he should be like Razak: stay with Umno until his dying breath.

“It was Razak who helped Dr Mahathir return to Umno to strengthen and defend the party, to lead Malaysia in the world. Not to destroy Umno.

“Dr Mahathir, return to the right path, the path that Razak charted for you to become the fourth prime minister of Malaysia.”

Razak, who was prime minister from 1970 to 1976, had readmitted Dr Mahathir into Umno in 1972 after the latter was expelled in 1969.

At the time, he had been critical of the first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.

Nazifuddin said he had read comments by Dr Mahathir’s wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, in which she spoke fondly of Razak and owed to the late leader her husband’s rise to become prime minister.

“Yes, it is true that Razak was responsible for bringing Dr Mahathir back to Umno.

But, his (Dr Mahathir’s) behaviour, actions and words of late against Najib are deeply disappointing and overboard, and they are not in line with the ethics and principles that a former prime minister should have.

Dr Mahathir, who was prime minister from 1981 to 2003, quit Umno in 2016 over corruption allegations against Najib, which the current prime minister has denied.

The 93-year-old formed opposition party Bersatu the same year, and was recently named PH’s prime minister candidate if the opposition pact wins GE14. – January 19, 2018.

  • The amount of salt consumed by Tun probably well exceeds the amount of rice this young man has eaten.

  • It is very simple Nazif boy, Tun M will return to the 'right path' the moment Najib MO1 return all the stolen money and walk into a jail cell by himself unaided.

  • His grandfather was dead before he was even a naughty look on his father's face. What does he know about honouring his grandfather. His assumption about what he knows and clearly over entitled is just more proof UMNO has to go.

  • Bro, charity starts from home! Please ask your folks at home to be Right! Are you afraid to loose what you didn't work for? You will inherite your Dad's legacy of being 'not a nice man's during his term. Go fix this and then ask DrM to repent. Please don't use what your granddad has done etc..to sweet talk the opposition to back down on Najib. Be a man and tell your dad to do the right thing! Plus your mum too....your full of BS la

  • Young man, god gave us the ability to discern right from wrong, use it. What's to protect and stand by a horrendous betrayal of authority and position? You were born with a million silver spoon at your disposal, much more than your wimpy father. You would do well to study everything your dad did from young till his unceremonious dumping weeks ago. Learn from the mistake and understand humility before opening that gap you call a mouth.

  • Like father, like son. Still talk with the 'I help you, you help me' mentality! As a matter of fact, your grandfather or your father' do not own the country! If your father is on the right path, the rakyat or should I say the country would not have kicked him out! You should tell your father to return to the right path and also tell him to return the money he robbed from the country. 'KEPALA BAPAK ENGKAU!'

  • 9thMei2018 General Elections should have been a win in favour of DSNajib. There should not have a dictator man like Mahathir disturbing this Malaysia.Mahathir became overnight friend s with those whom Mahathir had put into Jail.Mahathir made pacts with his enemies just to destroy DSNajib Tun Razak who was doing well for the country.Najib was not letting his family member gamble Malaysian Treasury money on the International Foreign Exchange Trading platforms(FOREX).
Rakyat is Najib really bad and Mahathir's dictatorial Brain all good??
Did you rakyat vote correctly on 9th of May 2018??
I will stand improving Barisan National foundations stipulated by the early founders such as the late Onn Jaafar.Needless to say I am old but I will stand by the foundations for a UNITED Malaysia till I die.
Mahathir also should stand by Unity among all Malaysians as did the late OnnJaafar ,
Mahathir never advocates Unity among peoples because he is not a sports person.Mahathir never encourages sports but we all know he probably encouraged his family members to play a pack of cards that later ended with gambling as happened with losses on International FOREX TRADINGS.
Sport is a game of partnerships of 2 or many. This is to tell you that a man who doesnt play sports is ruling Malaysia now.Sad, really sad for all Malaysians.

  • So Tun M must overlook monies stolen by Najib (Razak's son) and listen to Razak's grandson who also took the monies and 'jolly' - because of Abdul Razak???

Are you serious? One of the things you should do is give away all your stolen monies and start get a job and work from bottom then with your experience only give advice.
