A THIRD police officer in Malacca has been remanded for a week on suspicion of providing protection to illegal gambling dens and massage parlours in Malacca.

The Star Online reported that the 52-year-old corporal joined nine others, including two police district chiefs, who were arrested by MACC on Wednesday on the same suspicion.

Meanwhile, MACC also remanded a police inspector from the Subang Jaya district office for five days to investigate corruption allegations against him. – May 18, 2017.
