MALAYSIANS residing in the Klang Valley who do not have their vaccination appointments can walk in at selected vaccination centres this month, the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) said. 

Those aged 40 and above and with comorbidities will be able to do so between August 4 and 22.

For those aged 18 above, they can do so from August 5 to 22. 

However, those who have already been given appointments will not be allowed to walk in. 

“They will not be allowed to change their appointments to walk-in if there is still time for their appointments,” CITF said. 

Walk-ins will only be permitted after 2pm and identification documents such as MyKad, driving licence, credit card details, utility bills, employment card, student card and agreements will be required to prove that the person is residing in the Klang Valley.

The selected vaccination centres are HCO F, G and H at the KL Convention Centre, Bangi Avenue Convention Centre, Hotel Wyndham in Klang, Dewan Tun Razak Sabak Bernam, Dewan Komuniti Serendah, Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA and Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam.

Expectant mothers will not have to walk in as they will be given their appointments via MySejahtera. 

Meanwhile, those with comorbidities will have to bring their medical records or appointment cards as proof.

The jabs will be administered on a first-come-first-served basis, depending on vaccine supplies at the vaccination centres. 

As for foreigners residing in the Klang Valley, those aged 40 and above and those with comorbidities will be allowed to walk in from August 9 to 11 while those aged 18 and above can do so between August 12 and 22. 

Like citizens, non-citizens will also have to show identification documents as proof that they are living in the Klang Valley. 

Those who do not have legitimate travel and identification documents will have to undergo a process outlined in the Vaccination Management for Non-citizens Guidelines released by CITF. 

Non-citizens will only be allowed to walk in at the Bukit Jalil Stadium vaccination centre. 

CITF said walk-ins will be allowed in the outskirts of the Klang Valley in phases from August 9. 

It said since Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya have become an epicentre of Covid-19 infections, it is looking to provide appointments to all 6.1 million residents there who have registered for vaccination. – July 31, 2021.
