Parliament adjourned again, this time for Covid-19 test

PARLIAMENT has been adjourned till 5.15pm so that everyone can undergo Covid-19 tests, said Rashid Hasnon.

“The Speaker’s Office was notified by Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah that there were two positive Covid-19 cases in Parliament.” said the Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker.

He said the first case was a worker who was in Parliament from Monday till Wednesday while the second case was detected today through a saliva RTK test.

“They are suspected to have been in several places. As such, the Health DG has ordered all MPs, their staff and  Parliament staff to undergo Covid-19 tests.

“Everyone has to remain in Parliament until the results are out,” said Rashid.

This is Dewan Rakyat’s fourth adjournment today after Deputy Speaker Azalina Othman Said announced an adjournment at 2.30pm. – July 29, 2021.
