THE Health Ministry will soon be doing Covid-19 assessments virtually for those who are asymptomatic or with mild symptoms, Dr Adham Baba said.

The health minister said that in the near future, a virtual Covid-19 assessment centre (CAC) would be developed to manage light symptoms.

“Monitoring of such cases will be conducted virtually without the need to physically go to the CAC.

“The digital home surveillance order will be issued through the MySejahtera application or other applications and it is legally valid,” he said at a press conference in Putrajaya today.

Adham also said 752 doctors in the private sector have been given the authority to issue the home surveillance order (HSO).

“They will monitor those who have symptoms and are quarantined at home and wear wristbands,” he said.

“They will help the Health Ministry monitor positive cases that are asymptomatic.

“For severe cases, the patients must be referred to the nearest Covid-19 hospital.” – July 15, 2021.
