MINISTER in the Prime Minister’s Department Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof has closed his constituency office after staff tested positive for Covid-19

The Alor Gajah lawmaker said the office was being sanitised but declined to say how many of his staff tested positive for the virus.

“Not all of the 20 were confirmed Covid-19 positive. Only a few, and all of them are now in quarantine,” he told The Malaysian Insight.

A notice on the office’s Facebook page said it would be closed until July 26.

The Malaysian Insight got confirmation after receiving information that the employees who tested positive were placed in a bungalow and not in a Health Ministry facility.

Meanwhile, Malacca health director Dr Ismail Ali said he did not receive any information on the matter.

“Up to now we don’t have any information,” he said when contacted today. – July 14, 2021.
