Vax centre in Shah Alam shut for a day due to infection

THE Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC) vaccination centre in Shah Alam, Selangor will be closed for one day today after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19, the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) said.

“The immediate measure to close the centre was taken to carry out sanitisation works after the Covid-19 test results came out last night,” it said in a statement.

The CITF also urged those who went for their vaccination appointments between July 9 and 12 to monitor themselves, and to get tested if they experience symptoms.

It said the July 13 appointments would be rescheduled to a later date.

It added that further updates would be given from time to time and people can call 03-8893 4303 should they have queries. – July 13, 2021.
