Warden hits, punches tahfiz pupil in Shah Alam school

ANOTHER pupil has been injured following a beating by hostel warden in a tahfiz school in Shah Alam, Harian Metro reported today.

The 13-year-old suffered injuries to the rib cage and arm. The boy’s father said the beating took place on May 10 after his son was asked several personal questions, which he denied.

Following that, the hostel warden, who is also an ustaz, allegedly hit the boy with a cane and punched him, the Malay-language tabloid said.

The father lodged a police report at Shah Alam’s Section 9 police station after the May 10 incident.

District police chief Shafien Mamat confirmed the report. Shafied told the paper that investigation papers have been opened under S323 of the Penal Code. 

On April 26, 11-year-old Mohamed Thaqif Amin Mohd Gadaffi died following an alleged beating in a tahfiz school in Kota Tinggi. The boy was brought home after on March 31 and had both his legs amputated as a result of the beating and died two weeks later. – May 17, 2017.
