MALAYSIA administered 340,043 doses of Covid-19 vaccines yesterday, the second day since the number of doses has been ramped up by more than 100,000.
This raises the total number of shots given to date at 9.66 million as of yesterday, of which 6.79 million are first doses and 2.87 million are second doses, said the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply.
This means that 8.8% of the population are fully vaccinated with two doses, while 20.8% of the population have one dose.
Putrajaya’s target is to cover 10% of the population with two doses by the middle of this month.
Federal administrative capital Putrajaya has the highest vaccination rate, at 43.1% with one dose and 26.8% with two doses.
The more densely populated state of Selangor still has the lowest vaccination rate at 18.4% with one dose and 6% with two shots. – July 7, 2021.
