A TOTAL of 164,282 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered yesterday, the second day jabs given are below the 200,000 daily target.

Of the total administered, 128,400 were first shorts and 35,882 were second shots, the Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply said in infographics posted on Twitter.

Cumulatively, 5.67 million doses have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

Of this, 4.08 million people or 12.5% of the population have received one shot, while 1.59 million people have received two shots.

The committee’s graphics does not state the percentage of the population that have received two doses but it works out to 4.86%. – June 20, 2021.
