Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s willingness to lead the National Operations Council, should one be set up, is his desperate and final attempt to lead again, say political analysts. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 12, 2021.

  • Veteran columnist and political analyst Dr. Cheah See Kian, do you realize that Tun wants to just fix the economy which he has a track record of fixing and also the education system which is so decrepit. For instance, Tun has rightly said the school syllabus has too many periods for Agama studies which will not help a student to face the real world and stand on his two feet. He wants greater emphasis on English language usage etc... In short, we need to produce young Malaysians who will have the necessary skills and knowledge to fend for themselves and contribute to nation building.
