LONG-DISTANCE married couples will not be allowed to cross state lines to see each other under the total lockdown, which begins on Tuesday.
Under the new total lockdown SOP, which was released by the National Security Council (NSC) today, such visits will no longer be permitted.
Also affected are short-term business visits, unless approved by the police, said the NSC.
Similar to the first movement-control order (MCO), which began in March 2020, all educational institutions will be closed.
Among the new activities that will be barred are casinos, gaming outlets, horse racing, night markets, spas, reflexology centres and barbers.
Car wash outlets and shops that sell jewellery, car accessories, sporting equipment, books and stationery, furniture and clothes will also be barred from operating during the total lockdown.
