TWO men escaped unhurt after a tree fell on their car while they were driving on Jalan Travers near Muzium Negara, Kuala Lumpur.

However, a motorcyclist sustained minor injuries to his legs in the same incident at about 3pm this afternoon.

In a statement, Brickfields police chief Anuar Omar said confirmed the incident.

“The motorcyclist is a local man and he sustained minor injuries, and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The incident was caused by heavy rain and strong wind.

“The two men (in the car) escaped unhurt. Repair works are currently underway and traffic is expected to be clear at 7pm,” he said.

Videos of the incident were posted online and pictures taken by members of the public showed the car was badly damaged.

Social media users who saw the video expressed disbelief as to how the two men were left unhurt.

“It is impossible that the two men escaped unhurt. Looking at the videos and pictures of the incident, the two are lucky,” said Twitter user FatRazali. – May 27, 2021.
