CUSTOMERS will only be allowed to spend a maximum of two hours at retail premises when standard operating procedures (SOP) for the movement control order (MCO 3.0) come into force on Tuesday, said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi.
According to Nanta, the two-hour limit will apply to all retail premises, including shopping malls.
“The time limit for customers at every retail premises, including shopping malls, will be limited to a maximum of two hours,” he said.
In a statement, Nanta also said the number of customers would be limited to one person per 4sqm.
Nanta said the number of employees at all retail, wholesale, distribution premises and shopping malls, including the management, operations and support, will also be capped at 60%.
He said retail premises can operate from 8am to 8pm
The minister said any retail premises listed as a high-risk area on the Hotspot Identification for Dynamic Engagement (HIDE) system will be instructed to close for three days.
