Selangor tops Covid-19 tally as overall figure exceeds 3,000 again

Selangor registered the highest number of new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours at 675, followed by Sarawak (620) and Kuala Lumpur (408). – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 4, 2021.

MALAYSIA registered 3,120 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, with Selangor once again at the top of the daily infection list.

Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the fresh cases have taken the country’s caseload to 420,632.

Selangor topped the daily tally with 675 cases, followed by Sarawak (620) and Kuala Lumpur (408).

Active cases continued to rise to 31,516, from yesterday’s 30,753.
