THE Health Ministry today reported 12 new Covid-19 clusters, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said the clusters involved four each of workplace and community clusters, and two education sector clusters, including one cluster at an educational institution under the Education Ministry.
The remaining two clusters involved a religious gathering and a detention centre.
Three clusters were each detected in Johor and Sarawak, two were from Malacca and Penang, while Selangor and Kelantan each had one cluster.
Of the 12 clusters today, Jalan Raja Bukit Pasir in Muar, Johor, reported the highest number of positive cases at 151.
This factory cluster reported positive cases on April 23 after a Covid-19 screening was done on 306 individuals.
Meanwhile, the second highest is cluster Jalan Sebauh in Sebauh and Bintulu in Sarawak which reported 67 cases as of today. This community cluster was reported after a targeted community screening was done on 318 individuals in the area.
The third highest cluster is Kg Batu Sembilan, in Kuala Langat, Selangor. A factory cluster, it has 52 positive cases to date.
With the new clusters today, there are now 358 active clusters nationwide. β April 26, 2021.
