FRESH Covid-19 cases remain above the 2,000 mark, with 2,690 recorded in the last 24 hours as well as 10 fatalities.

Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said with the latest new cases, the country’s total number of infections now stands at 392,942.

“There are 23,753 active cases, with 283 patients being treated in intensive care and 121 requiring respiratory assistance,” he said in a statement.

Today is the 11th day running that daily infections have numbered above 2,000.

The new cases outnumbered the 1,853 recoveries. 

With the 10 fatalities today, the death toll now stands at 1,436.
