RAJA Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah today reactivated her Instagram account with a cryptic message, a day after closing it yesterday.

“One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through and it will be someone else’s survival guide,” said Tunku Azizah early this morning.

As at 5pm, the post has received more than 33,000 likes and more than a thousand comments.

The Queen deactivated her account yesterday after criticisms, using the #Dengkike hashtag.

#DengkiKe, is still the top hashtag on Twitter in Malaysia with 79,200 tweets at press time.

The phrase, which roughly means, “are you envious?” was used by Tunku Azizah yesterday in response to a user who asked if chefs working at the palace had also been vaccinated.

This was following a report by online portal Asia Sentinel, which claimed that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had received 2,000 doses of the unapproved Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine for his family and friends.

Health Minister Dr Adham Baba had denied the allegation but the palace has yet to publicly address the issue.

It remains unclear why Tunku Azizah had suspended her social media account.

It is not the first time the queen had deactivated her social media account.

In 2019, she deactivated her Twitter account, which subsequently led to police reports, investigations and arrests against those who made insults and seditious remarks.
