EATERIES will be allowed to operate until sahur (pre-dawn meal), which is 6am during Ramadan, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said this is to make it convenient for those who are about to begin their fast.

“All restaurants, stalls, coffee houses and delivery services will be allowed to continue operating until dawn effective from April 15 onwards,” he said in a press conference today.

Religious activities are allowed in mosques and suraus during the month of Ramadan, which is expected to start tomorrow.

However, guidelines are under the jurisdiction of the respective states.

He added that organisers must adhere to standard operating procedures, which includes observing social distancing and limiting the number of participants.

“Breaking of fast events, including buffets at hotels, will also be allowed,” he said. – April 12, 2021.
