THE Umno president’s daughter Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid has resigned from the board of SME Corporation.

In an Instagram post last night, Nurulhidayah shared a April 6 letter addressed to Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar informing him of her decision to step down.

“A position to which I was appointed I voluntarily give up. An elected position, however, must be defended.

“Tell me now who doesn’t have guts?” she challenged.

Nurulhidayah did not give a reason for her resignation but it comes at a time her father Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is facing severe criticism.

Zahid has come under fire over a leaked phone conversation purportedly between him and and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim.

Both have denied it was them in the audio clip.

The clip surfaced shortly after Umno decided to cut ties with Bersatu at its general assembly on March 28.

Nurulhidayah was appointed to the SME board on January 5. At the time she had defended her appointment saying she had earned it. – April 10, 2021.

  • You should not be given that post in the first place cause you are not qualified and can't bring anything to SME except drawing a big fat salary each month.

  • You don't deserved it.. If you father's name is not Zahid Hamidi, you will not be appointed for the position.. Your father's wealth is more than enough to keep you living better than ordinary Malaysians.. So go away. Enjoy the your's father wealth..
