PARTI Warisan Sabah vice-president Peter Anthony arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission office in Kota Kinabalu at 10.25am today.
The lawyer was scheduled to appear at the federal administrative complex in Jalan Sulaman, Kota Kinabalu, at 2.30pm but turned up earlier to answer questions related to a RM155 million land purchase in Tongod district.
Anthony appeared calm as he went into the MACC office accompanied by lawyer Martin Tommy and Warisan secretary-general Loretto Padua, who is also a lawyer.
In an MACC statement dated January 3, Anthony, 47, was given 48 hours to present himself, along with a lawyer, Michael Ubu, at the MACC office in Kota Kinabalu.
Anthony was remanded by MACC on October 5 last year to assist in the commission’s probe into the alleged embezzlement of federal funds earmarked for rural projects in the state. – January 5, 2018.
