TERATAI state assemblyman Bryan Lai Wai Chong has resigned as Selangor DAP organising secretary, said Gobind Singh Deo.

The Selangor state chairman said he received Lai’s letter yesterday. However, he added that Lai would remain as a member of the DAP and state rep for Teratai.

“I called for a meeting with the state committee yesterday afternoon and the committee, after deliberation, accepted his resignation,” the Puchong MP said in a statement.

“The state committee has also decided to refer the matter to the national disciplinary committee for their consideration,” he added.

Gobind also announced that Lau Weng San has been appointed as the acting state organising secretary with immediate effect, replacing Lai. – April 2, 2021.
