Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki says PAS must make clear its stance of working with Bersatu, which Umno has rejected, before GE15. – The Malaysian Insight pic, March 27, 2021.

PAS must choose between Bersatu and Umno before the next elections, said Aysraf Wajdi Dusuki.

“Before we go to war, we must know who our enemies are,” said the Umno Youth chief during his winding-up speech at the 2020 General Assembly in PWTC today.

“This is important as we need to know before someone backstabs us.

“As such, we have to ask our friends PAS if they will be with us or otherwise now that Muhyddin Yassin has said that Perikatan Nasional (PN) is contesting all of Umno’s seats.”

Aysraf said Umno is not ready to abandon PAS yet, and it will continue to strengthen the Muafakat Nasional (MN) pact.

As for Bersatu, Aysraf asked rhetorically if Umno should continue working with the splinter party after Muhyiddin said they will contest in all the Umno seats.

“The meaning is clear, as he has already signalled that he will not compromise on the seats that we cannot give up.

“In this context, do we still want to continue with Bersatu?” said Asyraf.

Muhyiddin hinted that Bersatu will defend all the seats that the party had contested in the last general election (GE14) if Umno refuses to give up these seats in the next polls (GE15).

The Pagoh MP said Bersatu is not concerned if Umno leaves them.

“It is better for Umno to contest all 222 parliamentary seats. If we win, we form the government. But if Umno wants it all, I also want it all,” Muhyiddin said in Pagoh today. – March 27, 2021.
