Time to review PAS-Umno relationship, says Puteri delegate

UMNO must review its political relationship with PAS as the party has chosen to work with its enemies by joining the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, said a Puteri delegate.

“Our relationship has become strained and PAS leaders have begun attacking Umno again,” said Gua Musang delegate Nurfadzlette Aryani Mat Rosli during the Puteri meeting today.

“PAS’ decision to join PN is very hurtful. Are they aware that their action is akin to working with Umno’s enemies.”

Nurfadzlette said that PAS’ actions were dishonest as they want to reap the rewards of working with both Bersatu and Umno.

She said the Islamist party must decide whether it is with Umno or with Bersatu.

“How would PAS like it if Umno were to work with Amanah, that is also a splinter party from PAS.

“I still remember when tears flowed freely when Umno and PAS ended its years of acrimony on September 14, 2019 when we signed the Muafakat Nasional pact.”

But PAS, said Nurfadzlette, appears to have forgotten that episode when it decided to join Bersatu to register the PN coalition. – March 27, 2021.
