FORMER Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa has accused the party president  Ahmad Zahid Hamidi of allowing only certain delegates to speak at the party AGM today.

“The top six (division leaders) are only allowed to be spectators. All the original speakers have been rejected and replaced,” said the Ketereh MP on Facebook today.

“Only those picked by the president are allowed to speak.”

The Federal Territories minister was removed from his position as Umno secretary-general in January and is one of Zahid’s biggest critics.

Annuar said only the Supreme Council members were allowed to debate the resolutions at the AGM so that .only their decisions would be endorsed by the general assembly.

“This means that the Supreme Council is supreme instead of the general assembly.”

Annuar, who was fired over his reluctance to see the party cut ties with Bersatu, said Umno’s bloggers and cyber troopers had been mobilised to attack those who disagreed with the Supreme Council.

“Leaders such as vice-president Ismail Sabri, Hishammuddin Hussein, Shahidan Kassim, Noraini Ahmad and others are being attacked and have become victims of ‘Team PWTC’,” said Annuar.

“This is a very ‘safe’ general assembly, the results have already been pre-determined.

“I nevertheless believe that Umno needs to maintain Malay unity and the unity of Malay parties. It must continue negotiating until the final minute,” Annuar added, referring to Bersatu’s invitation to Umno tp discuss seat allocations for the general election. – March 27, 2021.
