Is Muafakat dead in Terengganu?

While Umno and PAS are still under partners under Muafakat Nasional, relations have turned icy over Umno’s desire to boycott Bersatu, which PAS is loyal to. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 27, 2021.

UMNO grassroots leaders in Terengganu said there is a high possibility of a clash between their party and PAS in the state in the 15th general election.

This confirms claims by sources who previously told The Malaysian Insight the two parties will not cooperate in GE15 in the state.

  • Muafakat reminds of the British concept of Commonwealth. Does it mean it ended with one colonize the other? More to the advantage of one (smaller party) rather than the other (bigger party)? So it is colonization or commonwealth?

  • MN is for the two narrow minded parties and is a big joke from the very beginning. Malaysia as a multiracial nation does not need MN.
