TEN new Covid-19 clusters were identified by the Health Ministry in the past 24 hours, taking the number of active clusters in the country to 440, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The director-general of health said the 10 are five workplace clusters and five community-based infections.
Noor Hisham said of the five community-based clusters, three were found in Sarawak and two in Selangor.
He said 246 cases were recorded from the clusters, where the community-based clusters accounted for 119 cases.
On the community-based clusters, Noor Hisham said the Sena cluster involving the districts of Miri and Subis in Sarawak contributed 61 cases – the most among the clusters reported today.
Noor Hisham said the other community-related infections in Sarawak are Buloh Pasi (21 cases) and Jalan Main Bazaar (12).
In Selangor, Noor Hisham said the two community clusters are Jalan Tempua (7) and Jalan Kunci Air (18).
He said both these clusters involved the Hulu Selangor district, while the Jalan Kunci Air cluster has spread to Gombak. – March 12, 2021.
