MALAYSIA today recorded its lowest Covid-19 daily cases in 2021, with 1,529 new infections reported in the last 24 hours.

The number of new cases today means that the country has now recorded less than 2,000 daily cases for the third straight day running.

Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah posted the number of new cases and its breakdown by states on his social media accounts.

Noor Hisham said that Selangor led in the number of infections by state with 726 cases, followed by Sarawak with 252 and Johor with 120.

Labuan was the only state to not report any cases today.

On overall cases by state, Selangor tops the chart with 105,380 cases, followed by Sabah with 53, 557 cases and Johor with 38, 121 cases.

The country once again reported more recoveries than new infections with 2,076 patients having recovered in the past 24 hours.
