FORMER flight attendant Siti Noor Madzariah has received more than 40 job offers after Seputeh MP Teresa Kok highlighted her plight.

Noor Madzariah a mother of five, was a cabin crew member for Malaysia Airlines and had lost her job six years ago.

Kok, on Facebook on March 4, posted that Noor Madzariah had visited her at her office last Thursday to convey her hardship. She had not been able to find permanent work and had been having difficulty providing for her children, and was now unable to pay her rent and instalment payments for her motorbike.

“Since I published my post about her on my FB, my office has received many calls from the public who made offers of job and financial assistance to her.”

“I have also passed her a list of more than 40 job offers and have advised her to choose a suitable job from the list,” Kok said in a new post after visiting Noor Madzariah at her home today.

Accompanying Kok was Ismail Nasaruddin, the president of National Union Flight Attendants Malaysia (NUFAM) and Shashi Kumar, the vice secretary of the union.

“Both the NUFAM leaders and I would like to thank fellow Malaysians profusely for all their support and concern for her,” Kok added.

Noor Madzariah had also received many calls from former airline crew members and other Malaysians who wanted to help her.

The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) has also responded by saying it will increase its monthly assistance to her from the current RM300, and provide financial aid to help cover her rent at her apartment along Jalan Klang Lama. – March 6, 2021.
