Zeti’s husband under investigation over 1MDB funds

POLICE are investigating Tawfiq Ayman, the husband of former Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz, over 1MDB funds received into his Singapore bank account.

Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Department director Zainuddin Yaacob said the investigation is under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds from Illegal Activities Act (AMLATFPUAA).
