A STOREKEEPER claimed trial in the Petaling Jaya magistrates’ court today to a charge of threatening a man last week by saying him, “Wait, tomorrow you’ll die”. 

Muhammad Daniel Shahrizan Majuka, 41, was charged with committing the offence against Mohd Razi Othman, 40, at the Serdang Industrial Area, at 6.30pm on January 13.

The charge for criminal intimidation, under Section 506 of the Penal Code, carries a maximum seven years’ jail, a fine or both.

Deputy public prosecutor, Siti Zubaidah Mahat offered bail of RM5,000 with one surety but the accused’s lawyer, Chui Jing Hong asked the amount be reduced as his client was supporting a wife and two children.

Magistrate Zhafran Rahim Hamzah allowed the accused bail of RM2,300 with one surety and set March 31 for mention. – Bernama, January 20, 2021.
