Three outlets at Sime Darby convention centre closed for good

SDCC is popular venue for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions and is well known for weddings and celebrations since it was opened in 2007. – January 15, 2021.

SIME Darby Convention Centre (SDCC) said three of its dining outlets have closed, as Covid-19 bites down on revenue.   

SDCC said though Halia, East Café and China Treasures have closed, the hall will still be available for wedding, meetings and events. 

SDCC is popular venue for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions and is well known for weddings and celebrations since it was opened in 2007.

Last year, Sime Darby Property Bhd, owner of SDCC, slipped into the red in the second quarter ended June 30, 2020 (2Q20), due to severe business disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

The developer posted a net loss of RM81.77 million compared to RM205.26 million registered a year ago. – January 15, 2021.
