PAYMENT of Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN 2.0) will be channeled to B40 recipients from January 21, said Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.

He said for the B40 group the aid will be credited directly into their accounts, while those who do not have bank accounts will receive the payment on January 25.

Zafrul also said payment to M40 recipients is also on January 25 for account owners and recipients without bank accounts.

He added that recipients who do not have a bank account will receive payment through Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).

As for recipients without bank accounts in Sabah and Sarawak, they will receive payment from early February to April 1 and the payment location will be announced at the end of the month.

Zafrul said the payment this time involves a total of RM2.38 billion to 11.06 million recipients, including 460,000 new applicants.

“Applications for the new recipients were approved from October 15 to November 15,” he said.

He added that new recipients can check their status from January 15 on the official BPN portal https://bpn.hasil.gov.my. – January 13, 2021.
