CMCO extended till January 14 in Selangor, KL and Sabah

THE conditional movement control order (CMCO) has been extended to January 14 in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Sabah.

Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this was due to the high number of daily Covid-19 cases in the three states.

The CMCO was to have ended December 31.

“Because of the high number of infections and the sprouting of new clusters, the Health Ministry has decided to extend the CMCO until January 14,” Ismail said at a press conference in Putrajaya today.

As of December 27, Selangor has logged 29,272 virus cases; Kuala Lumpur, 12,494; and Sabah 36,074.

Sabah had recorded 3,243 cases in the last two weeks alone, he said.

In Penang the CMCO is extended until January 14 in in Barat Daya and Timur Laut. 

In Perak, the order is valid until January 14 in the Langkap Immigration Depot and Hilir Perak quarters.

In Kelantan, the CMCO will take effect tomorrow until January 14 in Madrasah Daril Naim at Padang Halban, Kota Baru.

In Negri Sembilan, the CMCO ends today in Port Dickson but is extended until January 14 in Seremban.

In Johor, the extension applies in Johor Baru, Batu Pahat, the Kluang prison and workers quarters. – December 28, 2020.
