FOUR new Covid-19 clusters in the country were reported today, with one involving a construction site, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abduallah.
The first cluster reported today was Kupi-Kupi in Sabah.
This cluster involves the Penampang district, and 12 people have been screened.
All of them tested positive, and the Health Ministry is tracing all contacts.
The Icon Bintang cluster involves the construction site, and infections have been traced in Lembah Pantai and Kepong in Kuala Lumpur.
A total of 532 people have been screened and 12 have been detected positive.
The Bandar Impian clusterspans Kluang in Johor, Pasir Puteh in Kelantan and Kuala Kangsar in Perak.
Nine positive cases have been identified from 58 people screened.
The final cluster reported today is Jalan Kemang and this involves the Port Dickson district in Negri Sembilan.
As of today, 19 people have tested positive from the virus from 257 screened.
Noor Hisham said a total of 52 cases have been reported from these clusters.
He said that there are 185 active clusters.
Of them 38 clusters are still reporting new cases where 147 of them are dormant.
Besides this, the director-general added that four clusters have ended today, bringing the total to 211. – December 9, 2020.
