DAP and PKR said they are ready to work with rival Umno to form a new Perak government, reports New Sunday Times.

Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming was quoted as saying this is in the best interest of the people.

“We are willing to work with any party that can help to form a multiracial, strong and stable government.

“I am open to any constructive discussion. We are ready,” he was quoted as saying.

Perak PKR chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak is also reported as saying that his party is also ready for the partnership with Umno.

“Yes, we are ready for the benefit of the rakyat,” he was quoted as saying.

Amanah is also expected to throw its support behind the Umno-led government.

Their willingness to work with Umno comes just as Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi told reporters in Ipoh today that his party is ready for a new political alignment in the state.

Earlier, the Bagan Datoh MP had an audience with the Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.

Yesterday, the three opposition leaders from Perak PH had an audience with the Perak ruler. They were Nga, Farhash Wafa and Perak Amanah chairman Asmuni Awi.

Perak Umno chairman Saarani Mohamad, the favourite to become the new MB, was also seen at Istana Kinta yesterday.

On Friday, Bersatu’s Ahmad Faizal Azumu was defeated in a motion of confidence brought against him. He only gained 10 votes in support while 48 rejected him, with one abstention. – December 6, 2020.

  • Desperate people go blind in their belief just to earn extra but not as what they claim for the rakyat. Didn't you fellows suffer a setback when UMNO played out by using money to buy that lady DAP representative who suddenly became filthy rich? Do you still want to join the robbers? Nga, where is your principal? Why not you join UMNO as a Muslim to avoid to sleep with them. PKR has lost its senses and of course, it has become power crazy and at any extent, PKR will accept as long Anwar is made the next PM joining UMNO. Amanahis trying its luck. All politicians are alike for power. Let's see the drama between PKR and DAP.

  • The late Lau Dak Kee, Seah Leong Peng, P. Patto, Kerk Kim Hock and Karpal Singh would never allowed this to happen not in their life time.
