PUTRAJAYA today announced an extension to the enhanced movement-control order (EMCO) in Kg Numbak and the Telipok settlement in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah until December 13.

Senior minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the EMCO, which was scheduled to end today, will be extended a further two weeks.

“Until November 27, the Health Ministry (MOH) confirmed there are still 109 active cases in Kg Numbak and 136 cases in the Telipok Settlement.

“In addition to the high number of cases, there are still more residents in both these localities that need to undergo Covid-19 screenings.

“Hence, based on MOH’s risk assessment and advice, the government has agreed to extend EMCO in both places for another 14 days starting November 30 until December 13,” Ismail Sabri said in a statement today.

These places were initially put under EMCO on November 16.

The SOP for the places will remain the same. – November 29, 2020.
