ALMOST three times as many people are recovering from Covid-19 as new infections are being reported, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health.
Today, 2,555 people discharged from hospital, while 935 new cases were reported.
The bulk of the recoveries were in Sabah, as the Borneo state reported 2,126 or 83.2% of total recoveries.
The new infections raise the number of cumulative cases in the country to 60,752 since the onset of the pandemic.
Of the new infections, 326 cases were reported in Sabah, 161 in Selangor and 158 in Negri Sembilan.
After five days, Sabah once again took top place by reporting the highest number of daily cases in a single state.
Malaysia also reported three deaths today, all of them in Sabah, two women and a man, all above the age of 55.
Two of victims suffered from hypertension as an underlying medical condition.
The number of active cases in the country now stands at 11,348.
Of this, 110 people are in intensive care, with 45 requiring breathing assistance. – November 26, 2020.
